Those goats look really nice. SO says: you got a good deal. I think you did well too. That is a wonderful pic of your little girl holding the goat. I think you should submit it for picture of the week.

Wow, she is stunning! I love her long silky hair! Now, whatcha gonna do with the little bucklling? Will you be milking her, this season? Im sure after a few days with you and your family, she will be a beauty!! I can't waite to see the after pics!

Well I went out to clip her only to find that she has lice badly. And no undercoat at all. What you see is what she has and it is kinda thin in places. When you pull the hair back you can see the skin easily. So I just cut the matts out and am going to treat her for the bugs and brush her. I would like to milk her, but she isn't going to give enough for all of us, which is honestly why I wasn't as excited as I would have normally been. We have limited space and I REALLY want a true milk goat.

Maybe you can get her cleaned up and looking nice and then sell her and her babies and get yourself a nice real milk goat.

Looks like what you have is a "Pygora" a Pygmy Angora cross. They are an actual breed. I have been looking at them on the web.
I do hope you get the lice situation under control. Oh goodness!

I just looked them up and I honestly didn't know such a breed existed. Now I have a woolie goat and a woolie rabbit. I read somewhere that you can mix the hair for spinning-if I knew how to spin! 
I honestly think the lice are causing her to itch and scratch and make her hair fall out and once I get rid of them her coat will come back in better. That is what I hope at least. Her two babies are both curly like little lambs like the pics i looked at. Fil told me today that he was still going to get a milk goat.
