Ringo is a registered Katahdin ram that I have been in love with for quite awhile. When his owners Mike and Teresa, said on BYH that they were going to sell him, I lost no time claiming him for my own. It took some time for them to breed him one more time, find another ram, make arrangements with us, and off we went to Tennessee to go get him.

Ringo’s first TEXAS lambs! Little Cutie had twin ewe lambs. I put a purple spot on one so I could satisfy myself they were both suckling. They were born October 3, 2019.

Mom is busy licking off the purple spot! LOL

Miranda Lambert had twins October 5 2019, both boys. They are strong and vigorous, up, know who their momma is. I watched Little Cutie’s lambs follow a chicken, Baa-baaing. Dummies!

Lily had a splotchy colored single, white, black and brown Sunday night, 10-6-2019. I left her alone right at dark, went back 30 minutes later, there was a beautiful lamb, up and sucking. It was dark so had to wait until this morning to get a good picture of it. Lily is brown, her parents are both white Katahdins. Her mom, Lady BaaBaa has a spot on her ear like Ringo.

It's a girl! WHOOP! This one is a keeper! Her color is so gorgeous. Ringo's previous owners had a ewe give birth to twins when we went to pick him up, colored just like this one. I asked them to name her for us and they chose either Aria or Sansa. We picked Aria.

Aria is the most beautiful lamb we have ever had. I love her!

Isn’t she gorgeous? Look at this face!

Hair sheep breed any time of the year. I have 10 ewes, going to cull one. Then I'll have 9. Domino lambed in December, Ewenique due now, Scottie due in February, Lady Baa Baa due ?

Between October 6, 2019 and October 10, 2019 I had 6 ewes lamb. One of those is going to slaughter, leaving 5. I'll wean their lambs end of February to Mid March. I have 1 that just lambed and 3 more to go. These 4 will not be ready to breed in May. If I use Scottie's due date in February, weaning these 4's lambs in June, breed them in August

May 2020 5 ewes ready to breed. Due in October

I have 1 that just lambed and 3 more to go. These 4 will not be ready to breed in May. If I use Scottie's due date in February, weaning these 4's lambs in June, breed them in August

August 2020 4 ewes ready to breed. Due in January

2 ewe lambs, born in October 2019 Aria and Latigo
These two could be ready to breed in May at 7 months old, or June, depending on their size/weight. I like to breed at 8-10 months old. Lots of breeders breed at 6 or 7 months old. They would be 8 months old in July and it would be HOT!

1 ewe lamb born December 2019 Checkers
In July she would be 7 months old, I could put her with the 4 ewes to be bred in August, she would be 8 months old.

**OK, I think I have this figured out! I will have one flock to breed in May, (spring) **and one flock to breed in August, maybe September (Fall)
**And I have 3 ewe lambs that will be a guessing game, depending on their size and weight.
**And let's not forget the 3 ewes that haven't lambed yet and if they have any ewe lambs that I want to keep! LOL

Let's see...….sheep math. I have 10 ewes, take away one leaves 9. Add 3 keeper ewe lambs=12 ewes for 2020! 5 will lamb in 2020 and 7 will lamb in 2021.

Wild card; 3 ewes haven't lambed yet!

Ewenique is due anytime between now and whenever. Ewe code applies. She is waddling huge. Look closely on her left side, baby bump, one of her lambs is stretching. She comes to me for belly rubs, I can see her relax and sigh.... aahhhh....... LOL

Full udder, her ligs are soft and a storm is coming tomorrow night with up to 80 mph winds, 3” of rain and tornadoes. Sounds like twins on the way to me!

I always post pictures of Miranda Lambert when she is in ewe code. She gets huge, her udder looks like a cow udder and goaties oooh and aahhh over her bulging udder. So this is a picture of Miranda NOT pregnant. She has a big belly anyway. I call it a good spring of the ribs—lots of room for babies.

She is currently nursing 3 month old twins and still has a big udder.
