rodeogirl's journey to being self-sufficient

We had a little bit of a drag race in town today

My little man just had to race his uncle

I have been craving watermelon for the last few weeks so I finally caved and bought one of those little watermelons that they sell all year. Being me I dont like to waste anything so I was looking online for what you can do with the rind and low and behold I found out that you can eat the rind (I feel lied to my parents always told me the rind would make you sick) so I found a recipe for candied rind and not I have a bowl full of rind sitting in brine in my fridge.

My grandmother make watermelon rind pickles and they were amazing! I have the recipe somewhere...

You cn tell my little man is really my son we saw some cousins riding their horses today so my little boy insisted we got the bikes and went and found them.

I was just thinking of you this evening and wondering how you and the little peanut are doing?

We are doing good I just cant wait to have my appetite back. I want to eat a full meal and bot have to brake it up in to 2 or 3 meals.

So my amazing boyfriend got me a glider yesterday. It's used but still in amazing shape so understandably I need to clean it. Well the girl we got it from through the arm covers into the washer so pad on it got all bunched up and messed up on the inside. I ended up having to take out the bottom seam pull foam out reline it put it back in and resew the seam.
This is what it looked like when I started. A nice little ball of foam on one side.

When I pulled the foam out I noticed there were two different pieces.

I ended up whipstitching the two pieces of foam together because I did not want to try to wrestle two different pieces into the arm.

Then all I had to do is sew the bottom seam backup

And you can't even tell the back cushion is outside drying still.
