So what is this journal thing for?
The first thing I want to say is.....Lucky are the people who can stay at home. I hate work, I will be working for a very long time. I would like to be done in 9 yrs, but I know that aint gonna happen. I have 12 years in at the hospital already.
I would like to move to a warmer climate, BUT that aint gonna happen.

Well, sharing your dreams is a good start, I think! I'm not sure what it's for, either. But I *think* it's for posting about our trials, accomplishments and ... mishaps on our paths to becoming more self-sufficient.

You work at a hospital? What do you do?

Trials........My job and two of my kids. I can always get rid of the husband so we cant consider him a trial .
My roosters are a trial, but there will be three less roosters after this evening.
Enlarging/ Moving the garden this spring will be a trial.
Work is not a trial today.......I called in sick. I have already did a load of clothes, cleaned the laundry room and did a load of dishes.
I love Halloween, always have, always will. I work in an area that gets minimal public scrutiny. I am tired of having to be the cheering section for the co workers. They had fun dressing up last year, they had fun with the Halloween party......Yet, AGAIN this year I have to prod, cajole and encourage them to participate. GOD FORBID they should be seen dressing up as a witch in public. God forbid anyone should see a green face and witchy clothing. They go thru life worried about what other people think and see of them instead of ENJOYING the holiday, any holiday, instead of enjoying LIFE. Ok shut up mk, just shut up.
Cassandra, I started out in the kitchen, then I was a Phlebotomist (I loved that job), then I went to the admitting office (not the best move in my life) and then I got moved down to work in the Business office. YUCK.

Got a cute story about a witch for ya. When my DS was 5-7 years old, we went trick-or-treating. Went to a house of people we knew. She was setting on her porch dressed as a witch, a really good costume. Had the witchy voice & everything. Now DS is 17. Every time we run into her, he still refers to her as "the women who is a witch". You should see the looks we get when someone overhears.

Tony Nicole and me going into town. the town shuts down main street and sooo many people trick or treat and some of the churches on the drag put on festivals. Should be fun. Leaving about 5. I think it will be super cold tonight...BRR

Yea, on the witches. Nicole's school said no witch costumes, of course it is a Baptist Church pre-school she is in..HA HA



I know what you mean....people don't let their hair down enough. Heck what others think. We sure live life confined about others thoughts of us....bad way to live. Good thing I could care less (most of the time)



Another 9 years at work before retiring. Ugh I feel your situation. If I didn't have the farm income I would be working my real job now also. Worked all my life....last 3 were home and yes it is better than working..LOL...not to make you sad or anything

I do hope times don't get so bad that I have to work again...I will if I have too but so far ok.

I told Tony yesterday that I would rather have less and less and work less hard. I am tired of working so hard for stuff. I think he finally understood where I am coming from..HA HA
