Ya know... I believe that could be hooked up with a belt for a treadle if you wanted to be able to use it without electricity....

Sadly, it cannot, because it is gear-driven and has no belt. But I have a Necchi in my treadle base that can be used either electric or treadle, and that is what I used all winter and spring when I was an "invalid." :/
