Haha, nor ALL bluff. 
One time he followed her onto the carpet (he's not supposed to walk on the carpet and she knows it) and she turned around and bounced like a pogo stick on all four legs and leaped at his head screaming. She didn't hurt him, but it was one of the funniest things I ever saw.
She will also take over his "bed" ... A blanket I put down in the dining room for him. It's so funny to see a blanket all spread out with a tiny cat curled up in the middle, and a huge dog lying on the floor next to it looking at her.
When she DOES feel like playing with him, she wants to lie on a chair with a gap at the back and poke her paws through the gap and swat his face. She will use her claws though, so I don't let her do that. He knows not to hurt her, and I'm not going to let the poor dog get hurt either because she WILL snag his face.
She taught him the box rule when he was only a few months old and we first got him. I had left a box from unpacking in the kitchen. Now almost a year later -- I still have to keep an empty box available in the kitchen for her. Though right now she's pushed it a few feet away into the living room so she can see both rooms from there.

I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT!!!
This vet won't take payments either, but after wading through just about ALL of those organizations, I have one that at least emailed me back that they might be able to push something through.
I'm working on it. Was up almost all night two nights trying to find something.

If anyone wants to pray, I would appreciate prayers that it will turn out to be something treatable, and that I can find a way to manage it.
Funny .... when I was growing up, it was a RARE thing to take an animal to the vet. My family didn't do it. My mom took one of my pets once. And my uncle took a kitten for me (but I had to give the kitten to him, which I cried, but I did).
I took my daughter's pets to the vet when they needed it ... even a gerbil once (!!!) and the vet was kind enough to do the procedure for only $8, which I appreciated (and she got bit for her trouble!).
Now everything tends to be decided on a financial basis ... but I just cannot let this kitty suffer if there is anything I can manage to do about it.
She's even a bit more herself today. I hope that's a good sign. She rolled on her back and wanted her tummy rubbed. And her eyes look a little clearer.

hmm.. with the abdominal swelling, obviously i'm not a vet but i almost wonder if she could have heartworms? glad to hear you may have found a way to get her in to the vet hopin for something easy to fix for you.

Well ... I have a new vet. The first vet can forget seeing me darken her doorsteps anymore.
I had taken my dog for his puppy visit to this vet before. He had a free office visit if shots were given, and was cheaper on shots and meds than most anyone else anyway.
And he seems to be willing to take plenty of time as needed with the animals, is kind to them. And my cat LIKES him, which means something. He seems very knowledgeable, and I like that he used to work in emergency medicine too. He pretty much outlined every possibility, what could happen, how likely it was or wasn't, what to look for, and the various levels of treatment for asthma (since that's most likely what it is) and triggers and such.
They still don't do payments, but ... he did offer a prescription for the acute attacks if I wanted. So if she gets THAT bad again, I'll have something to give her instead of just watching her struggle for air.
Of course, there is still a possibility it could be something else, which would then be UNtreated since it's not yet identified. How urgent that is ... depends on what it might be. There are about a half-dozen possibilities, which I'd already researched on gone over in my mind. At least I know a little more what to look for.
She really needs a -- what's it called? Cat-face-tube-thingy to give her meds. I have a paper on it -- I'm just too tired to walk back in there and get it right now. They cost about $80 but he said check eBay. And he said in a pinch, it's worth trying to make a temporary cup out of a styrofoam cup, so I think I'll do that in the meantime, just in case.
Oh, Aerocat. That's what it's called.
And I still have to afford the meds. Not sure of the cost yet.
But having to watch her struggle for every breath, hour after hour, and how desperate and afraid she became ... well .... it's just too horrible for me to watch.
I'm so tired now. I guess just having that resolved even so far as to find a vet that would give me a prescription for emergency meds ... that means SO much to me. Funny how you get so tensed up for what's going on, and when that immediate crisis is relieved, you feel so ......
I guess it's lack of sleep and now lack of adrenaline.
But that's the update. Being able to treat the most likely cause is worth it.
And, when we got home ... she slapped the dog for sniffing the strange smells on her. I know she feels better now. She's purring beside me.
Now I hope I can get on with something ELSE in life. I need to go check the chickens and see if any more eggs hatched today.
Oh, and I dropped off a dozen goose eggs for a guy to try to incubate for me. I don't have high hopes, cuz he's never done goose eggs before, but ... I'm still trying to borrow an incubator and those eggs aren't getting any younger. And my geese are sitting on around 2 dozen.
I stopped on the way home to get llama food. And the feed store ... DIDN'T have any peeps. I was fortunate ... I don't NEED babies ... I don't NEED babies .... at least not any that aren't already hatched here.
Well ... maybe some ducks ... I really DO want ducks ...

I hope this is actually what's wrong with her. She's still having small attacks (not the really bad ones) and I found a prescription for $10. I would expect within a couple hours of getting the medicine, I can figure out if it will help. If I can get it in her without the Aerocat thing. The vet made it sound do-able though.
