SKR8PN.... two small butts........

do you have a canning recipe for stew? I'd like to have one if you want to take the time and share it with me. I just can the meat out right, and just remove the fat and dried bits at the top.

Nice down brown and a good shot from a decent distance, nothing better than a good muzzy shot. I enjoy muzzle loader hunting as it makes feel different some how. I guess more like a pioneer hunter, wish there was as much game to hunt now as back in those days.

One game which hasn't failed along with the female deer population, is turkey....

I love my Muzzle loader and my bow seasons. I have yet to be lucky enough to take a deer by bow..........yet. That is why I bought this....

I have a couple of bad shoulders and I can't pull anything over a 60 lb compound bow. THAT limits the arrow speed quite a bit.
This should keep the deer from "jumping the string" on me all the time!
325 ft per second is pretty righteous for a bow! And this thing is QUIET!!!

We just make our venison stew like a beef stew(carrots, taters, onions, garlic, mushrooms, peas, and the meat) only we don't cook it much at all, since we pressure can it. I "think" it has to be in the pressure canner like 45 minutes or so......THAT is when it really gets cooked.

Nice Buck! Our season is long over here. :( And the weather just tuned really nice for hunting too.

I think it's just rabbits now, but I'd have to check.

Thank you! I may try to pick up a doe for sausage before our bow season ends.

Nice buck, btw. They do get heavy when you have to haul them. I know SO's buck got heavier by the minute. Especially when the three of us were trying to lift it to hang on the rafters
I think by then it weighed 2 tons :lau

SO got his with an Excaliber, Phoenix. I was even able to hit the bulls eye with that one, first try. Of course SO says it was beginner's luck. ;)

Glad you are not so sore after the exercises anymore. I really should start doing a better cardio work out. I get a lot of physical work in, but I really don't do anything to get out of breath or to really get the heart pumping. Weedin just doesn't work that way. :P

FD.....You need to do your weeding with a Scythe!!

I am one stiff and sore puppy today!
Yesterday morning was the first day of the Muscle Mania class I signed up for. Carol, the instructor, used to do a Boot Camp workout group that I just loved. When they dropped that class is when I went astray as far as my workouts go. It was hard for me to motivate myself without a regimented class. This new class is Monday and Wednesday mornings for 6 weeks, class begins at 5:45 am and runs for about 45 minutes, not counting the stretching afterword.
After class yesterday I hit the PreCor machine for another 30 minutes to get my cardio workout in. I felt great all day yesterday, but when I tried to roll out of the f a r t sack this morning......I knew I'd had a good workout yesterday!

Edited to bypass the bad word filter. I didn't know f a r t was a bad word! LOL!
