My dark green zucchini did not produce very well, but I planted some light skinned that grow as soon as your back is turned. It was weird. I was taking squash to the market by the bushel basket and people were afraid to try that zucchini "cause it didn't look like real zucchini." I started giving one to everyone who bought the other squash so they could see it wouldn't bite them. Jeez.... people!
