just got back last night and feel so out of touch. what kind of things have you all been doing while I've been gone? everyone ready for Christmas?
 
Glad you're back! Trying to be ready - still need to wrap gifts. But, since I'm stuck inside today because of all the rain I'll probably tackle that project.

How about you? You ready for the big day?
 
oh FEM, I'm never completely ready but at least i have my shopping done, but not the baking, wrapping etc. fa la la la

what a week. my dd and sil decided to come on the 23rd instead of the 24th so that put me way behind but it all worked out. granddaughters father-in-law passed away on Christmas eve so they were here for them and that was a good thing. i finished wrapping presents at 12:30am on Christmas morning before i went to bed. didn't get all the cookies or candy made but that's ok, i didn't need it anyway. all in all it was a good holiday. dd and sil got me a combination gift this year. its a combination peepot/paper shredder named Grace. did i want a new Staffordshire terrier puppy? no I did not, emma and i are old and set in our ways but she is a cutie so we are going to give it a try. she is fascinated with the chickens and ducks. met the goats and sheep for the first time last evening and is convinced that piggy is going to eat her. she is a cutie and seems really smart, we'll see
