i have mohair that is straight from the goat. hope to try and do some of that soon.
any other spinners here?

I spin but on a wheel, have not tried drop spindlles yet. I also have a couple of angora bunnies and am collecting from them to mix with wool and do a wool/angora blend yarn one of these days.

I like your carboard spindles, neat idea! My hubby is making spindles for me and my 2 sisters, I'll post pics when he's finished- the round piece (can't think of what it's called) is made of cedar that he and his dad harvested and made into planks, it is really pretty

Heh, heh, my first drop spindle was a potato and some pencils. Used the dog's slicker brushes. Hmmmm, brings back memories for sure!
