I usually stand firm and refuse to turn on the heat until Oct. 1....


I weenied out... turned it on today. Wow am I old and whiney.

We've been in the mid 50's for a couple of mornings. I need to find my sweats, lol! Yep - go ahead and call me a weather weenie! I'm accustomed to brutal heat, the cold just goes right through me. Brrrrr

humid and cool does make it harder to cope. once it gets more dry for the winter being cooler isn't quite so brutal.

Im still at an age where mid 50s temps are perfect for me working outside. Of course I also go out at freezing in just my nightgown to feed birds. It only takes a few minutes and I can ignore the cold still.

I can tolerate the cold getting things done. It's warming back up is the problem for me.

Hubby says I'm always freezing. He makes me run warm water over my hands before I touch him as they get cold.

Here is a funny... I was driving around with my mom (she has been visiting) doing errands.

She looks over at me and says how she is worried that she might be developing arthritis. She noticed that one knuckle felt a little off.

I took a deep breath (I have arthritis and have for years). And described my pain, and had her describe hers.... yep, she just has a mild bruise. My mom!

I like all four seasons but, prefer winter be shorter and warmer than usual.

Ever notice how 75 inside feels warm in summer and 75 inside feels cool in winter?
