When I was a kid, we had a portable screen house in the yard. And, if it was really hot, I'd sleep out there. You couldn't just sleep out in the yard-you'd get bit up by mosquitoes.

Guess what I did last night - go ahead, guess. Hey now, keep it clean OK, give up? Good! I canned me some bacon! Finally!! And it was easy! And I think I may do it again! Soon!

I just tested it out: If you type' Enola Gay, canning bacon' into your search engine, you'll get the 'recipe' I used. I used brown paper. I also followed a tip I found, to precook the bacon in the oven at 250, just until it heats up and skrinks a little. Made me feel better about the whole deal if the bacon in the 'middle' was hot going into the jars
