Oh heck no - I'm a little bit smarter now!

I would have eaten rolly poly's as a kid too if I didn't think they were pets! And in South Africa they're much bigger than I've seen here - they're like the size of your thumb! We called them Penny Worms! (Dunno why)

I really hope I never have to get THAT self sufficient...bugs are just not something I can think of eating...although black ants (the smaller ones) DO taste good...kind of sugary...I have tried them as a kid, live and kicking...thier legs get caught between your teeth though
Those rolly pollys...I think we call them potato bugs here...wouldn't ever catch me touching one of those never mind eating one They have always given me huge heebie jeebies...

I liked playing with them as a kid, my DD made fairy houses for them! I also liked playing with earth worms, I used to cut them up and serve them to my dolls as sausages
I ate a fly once... by accident though. I was totally grossed out. I was catching flies in the window and managed to catch a particular big one. Just them my mother came in with 1/2 half a sandwhich for me. Not paying attention, I put the hand holding the fly in my mouth and swallowed. I tried to unswallow it, but couldn't, so I just ate my sandwhich. I was about 4 at the time. I can still remember the feet tickling my tongue
