Five freaking minutes after I let that pen out and went on to feed the next pen she did this. Clean to playing in the mud puddle.

I have a dove sitting on eggs in a apple tree. 1 Tom and 3 hens BR, 6 white JG, 6 BO (chicks) 6 Pekin ducks 2 males, I think they are called drakes??? And one baby Pekin duckling hatched by turkey hens that I'm calling lone duck. Forgot there's a couple cubby of quail roaming around also.

Muscovies (I know they are "ducks", but genetically and behaviorally they are very different)

This is my absolute favorite of all the silkie pictures Ive taken. She was so fed up with me making her pose so she tilted her head to give "the look". She's partridge but has 2 copies of lavender. It makes for a pretty bird.

I was collecting them to check feet and toss eggshells. Several more eggs to hatch under this trio of broodies. 17 counted so far out of the shell. Mixed bag of chicks. Father is a partridge silkie. At least a few are from the older partridge hens in there. The rest are from the cochin x silkie and cochin x silkie project birds (some ameraucana in them). This is mostly for fun.

First real rain since June. Someone had to take advantage of that.

one option on any ??? egg is to simply have a small bowl to crack them into before putting them into the pan, bowl or whatever before cooking. That way you don't do 6 eggs into a bowl to scramble then add the wrong one on top of that.
