I just toss them in the run for them. Only time they ever eat an egg in the nest box is because it broke. Then they do their best to clean it up. So maybe once a year.

Nope. Wash and refrigerate. Unless they've gotten wet and have been wet for a while. If you collect every day should be fine

That's what I do. If I've found a new nest and it's got icky eggs in it I won't use them for human consumption. There's plenty of critters around here that will eat an egg in any shape or form, lol!

Heck no, a little scrubbing and then crack open to use

We get more eggs than we use. That's why ravens get bribes to keep the hawks away. I don't keep any eggs longer than 2 weeks. Usually less, but when collecting for Mom I'll do it for 2 weeks and label which to use first.

The only eggs we toss are from those surprise nest, like the ones found in the haybale. If we notice they are still using the nest and they may be new, we float them, then use them first.

Another question. I use poop tubs. Can I dump them into my garden beds right now? I'll be planting in May or so.
