Praise God! She was on a tree close to the chicken house. She has never been happy to see me but I thing she did this morning as the day broke.

Chicks turned 3 weeks this past weekend and are doing good. Mama hen is still taking really good care of them and keeping them warm in the below freezing temps and snow! I hope their feathers grow faster! They are starting to really feather out but still have a lot of baby down.

You'd think fairy egg, but it's just a first egg from a project silkie pullet. They don't always lay this small at first but it happens fairly often to mine. It had yolk and all.

And my really old lady gave me an egg today. She'll be 12 in a few weeks. Only one who gives the speckled eggs left so easy to tell when I get a rare one.

She turn 12 a couple weeks ago. Squatted down with the camera and she got in my face begging for all the treats.
