Almost Self-Reliant
I have a young friend living in the area whose name is Hardly. I have told him about the forum, and right away he wanted to post a journal. I just knew that that would not work as you will figure out if you read his writings; however, since he would not quit bringing the subject up, I told him that he could post some pages from his diary under my name. So - if you don't run him off, I would imagine that he will come back and post every once in awhile.

Mi friend, Abner, down the crick gave 2 me this here diary book to write in. He told me that I could jist rite into it anything that I wants to an do it just likes you was a reel person that I was wrighten to. So here we go.
First uv all, Mr. Diary, I waz very surprised to see that u ask me rite off the bat about my date life. I find this rather strang since we jist met and all, but since u asked I figgered I better respond. I aint never had no date a tall n my hole life. I shore wood like to try it out, but I dont no nuttin a tall bout it. I asked Abner about it an he gave me sum ideas about takin a girl for a walk in the moonlite and telling her all kinds of wonderments an such. Well since I aint got no xperience at it a tall, I made the decide to right a poem that I cud memorize an say in a romantical way, an since I cud only fall in luv with a red head, the girl wood half to b a red head. So I rote about the color red.
The poem turned out zactly like this.
Roses are Red
Your hair is Red
I like Red
I named my dog Red.
The other day I Red
2 Red
About the kolor Red
Because I like Red.
I am goin to take this hear poem down 2 Abner so he can check my pentameteriness.
