today was foggy this morning so you can imagine how humid it was out there. i kept having these sharp pains in my legs and was thinking it was just my lower back/nerves/etc. stuff but it was actually a biting fly. lil booger.

came in to take a break and cool off, not sure i'm up for more of that this evening so we'll see what else happens but i'm not making any promises at this point. :)

weeding this morning for a few hours then a break before mowing. mowing went ok. yes it was hot and humid and the grass was still a little wet so that always makes it more of a mess but it got done (after i took a cool down break for dehydration and giving my legs a rest).

cleaned up lawnmower a bit ago and am ok with today in being able to do more than previous days. not too often i can get this much time outside without complications inside.

and then i was also spending time on the phone trying to get some things done and no luck yet, but perhaps progress.

i didn't know that someone could change your street address and not even tell you... grr!!!

hopefully got the address situation resolved. county road commission never returned my calls all week so yesterday i talked to a different department in the county and he was helpful and within a few minutes said he'd work with whoever to get it changed back. we'll see how this goes...

more rain today, did not get outside before that arrived as we needed to do a family reunion gathering. good to see everyone.

drove home in heavy rain and i think most of it missed us here, but i'm not sure since after we got home we both zonked out for a few hour nap.

poison ivy sure can be sneaky and nasty if you don't even know you've been exposed to it, but even if you've knowingly gotten into it and taken precautions you can still mess up.

i have a few spots on my wrist where i somehow missed scrubbing off the oils or it was on a shirt sleeve and i thought i'd changed the shirt or something.

i was doing the usual calamine lotion and trying not to scratch the crap out of it and thinking it might help to put a coat of liquid bandage over it to keep it from rubbing on my sleeves and causing more itching. very much the exact wrong thing to do.

this morning i had enough and tried to washing the liquid bandage off and trying to peel it off and otherwise making things even worse as now i'm leaking more fluids but it is at least an honest pain and not a horrible itch that i can't resolve. pain i can cope with a lot more. it's not bad at the moment as i did put some more calamine lotion.

did i mention the hair on my wrist i didn't shave off before putting on the liquid bandage... heh...
