plenty of more weeding today. went out to work on the garden i'm in and of course spent half an hour just weeding pathways that needed some care and then also trying to get some Virginia Creeper out of some lavender and ... so eventually got to the garden and filled up two buckets of weeds and it was time for breakfast a few minute break before heading back out. maybe six more buckets of weeds which i might be able to do today, but if more than that i dunno. my legs are ok now but in a few more hours they'll be ready to call it quits.

if it does keep up with a nice breeze that will help a lot as it gets hotter out there. so that's the other factor for as it gets past noon.

so we'll see how it goes. anyways, if i don't finish it today i'll get it tomorrow. the weather forecast is for clear and warm and then getting towards baking hot for later this week, but i'm ok with that it's pretty wet out there and can use to dry off more. rains forecast for Thur night and into Friday, etc...

finish this one, on to the next...

got today's goal accomplished, i've not hauled that many buckets of weeds to the weed pile in a long long time. it's embarrassing to me but i'm glad to have it done and i won't have all those billions of purslane seeds falling on that garden.

three more to go inside the fence and there's a good chance i can get them done this week at last.

yesterday got too hot to finish what i was hoping to get done. i went out for a 2nd shift and there was a nice breeze but it was still too hot and my legs were done so i only got two more rows weeded then called it a day.

when i went out i saw a small rabbit inside the fence so that explains some of the recent damage i've been seeing. not sure it left or not as there's so many obstacles in those gardens that it could have just hidden while i was there. i'm hoping it left... we also have some deer coming through late at night as i never see them other than the tracks they leave and the chewed off plants...

today will finish that garden leaving me one last one to do inside the fenced gardens (the strawberry patch that was turned under and then planted with beans). it's full of weeds and few bean plants so depending upon what it looks like when i get into it (next week sometime by the looks of the weather forecast unless i chip away at it in between rains and hot weather) i may turn some of it or all of it under again.

rains in the forecast for later today and etc. it is getting to where i need to mow again but i'm not probably going to get to that until next week. it will take longer and be a mess but i'm at the "don't care about the lawn" attitude stage anyways...

what i have finished does look a lot better and i'm glad to not have all those weed seeds dropping so that does make me happy. i gotta look at that for the bright side of things because it's been a tough season so far and i doubt it's going to get easier other than i am making progress...

speaking of that, time to get a bit of breakfast and then outside for a few hours... pip pip and all that...

it was pretty hot too soon today but i did finish weeding the one garden. some of my time is spent finding and squishing Japanese Beetles... it may not ever get rid of all of them but i do find it satisfying enough.

i'm glad i stopped when i did as just the walk back up the slight hill to get back to the house was a challenge. i made sure to drink plenty of water before going out. hot breeze was not very cooling.

i am really enjoying doing very little right now. :) :) :)
