Fantastic! That's been a concern for a while. Hope this means it's resolved!

almost 30yrs and counting, but fall of 2011 was when we replaced roof and hoped to have it all set. since then just these little intermittent leaks that have taken way too long to get taken care of, but sometimes it has taken almost a few years between leaks so...

with potential frosts in the forecast today will be pepper picking day and then i'll probably get some or all of them cleaned up, chunked and frozen for chili. i've not looked at the plants in a few weeks so there might be none, a little or a lot to deal with.

Hope you get a good haul!

three and a half buckets worth. i've called the people who were happy to take my last extras and this time they said they didn't need any more but they know someone else who might want them so i'll hear more about that tomorrow morning sometime... we'll see... in the meantime tonight i'll be washing and cutting up some for us to use in chili so they can go in the freezer. i never bother blanching them since they'll be cooked quite a bit anyways - so far the flavor has been fine for me and the texture also seems fine.

even though when talking to them on the phone it didn't sound like the people wanted the peppers that were leftover. they said they'd call the next morning if some other people wanted them. no call so i just figured nobody wanted them so i put them in the trunk of Mom's car so she could take them to see if anyone else would want them. on the way to that she stopped by the place with the first people i talked to on the phone and they were happy to take them. surprised me. they didn't sound like they wanted them. ok, so that means about 40lbs of peppers weren't wasted after all. :) all gone.
