that is, yes, it is winter, yes it gets cold, do i really need to be warned about that as an emergency alert or whatever?
They do tend to blow it up, lol. I find that I'm kind of addicted though. I'm always afraid there will be a last-minute change that I'll miss and life as we know it will be forever changed, lol!

cold and sunny today, but at least not as cold as it has been - we may even see 27-30F this week.

the moon was very bright last night and the snow on the ground makes it even brighter.

my mini-vacation is over (i had a few books to read) so i better get back to cleaning my room (i hate cleaning) but first i'll check on the two worm buckets i started last week to see if they're damp enough - i have a few fresh greens i can poke in there.

all this warm weather is going to melt all the snow (which isn't much at this point but at least it is white and bright instead of gray, brown and bits of green...).

and speaking of bits of green there are bits of green all over the place from the deer eating the cedar trees and digging down through the snow to get at the grass. hungry critters need their greens! with the snow getting melted off that will give them access to greens in all sorts of other places than the cedar trees. i'm not even going to be looking very closely at any of this for weeks yet (i hope).

the closest i might get is going out to check how empty the propane tank is getting. oh and in other related news we got out monthly electric bill and it's not that bad considering how cold it has been and how much the furnace has been running - i think the new furnace actually runs less than the old one (since it is 10-20% btu output bigger but it is also supposedly more efficient so perhaps it's not burning that much more either - however then we get into the realms of where Mom wants to be warmer so we have the heat turned up more than we'd have had it in the past).

all these twisty little turns in this thing we call life... :)

Ready for propane fill here, too. Ugh, the bill. Does your mom layer up for clothing? I'm cold natured and have lots of jackets, vests & long johns 🤣
