Well, that stinks! Hope the kinks get worked out.

they did get the burners cleaned up today and so we are good, but a longer term fix is coming. it will be an added $500 but we're both just wanting it to be more reliable.

apparently new furnaces have burners that will rust unless you get stainless steel ones installed but they don't tell you that up front. hopefully next week we get the replacements put in.

well perhaps they make more money from the service trips and money they make off repairs after the warranty expires? just happened in our case that we got a call in early enough to have lucked out... i dunno. sure doesn't make sense to me...

i am mostly micro-cleaning. 5-30 minutes or less at a time. yesterday was getting some papers filed or shredded.

today i may get as far as washing a few blankets and dusting around my perch here, but i'd like to work on another project and get that done too. i'm not sure i want to multi-task...

making progress. i did get my perch dusted underneath and around so now i'm drying the last blanket i need before i can put it back together.

that means i can have a few hours of uninterrupted time to work on the other project i'd like to take some whacks at. :)

I have so seldom used Flylady that I have discontinued my subscription. It expires in October but I will have access until then. I ordered a work schedule and I am going to try to convince HG and DD to follow it with me.

chipping away... today i got my roost put back together after i decided to wash one of the blankets. once it was dry i'd just started to get going on that when Mom came home with a carload of stuff and so it took me a while to get things unloaded and put away and then... distracted by other things for a while until finally got that done.

now only about 1/3rd of floor to dust and some spider hunting. no plans on doing these until this weekend at the soonest.

this is a Mom story from Friday when she went off to do her care taking gig, but first on the way she stopped in at funeral home to drop off a card and to sign the guest register because she couldn't be there for the visitation later.

she said that she didn't see a front door so she just walked up to whatever door she did see and it wasn't locked so she went in. it was pitch dark and she couldn't really see where she was at or where to go but she found another door and opened it and went through it.

three guys were standing there, dressed in formal suits and very tall. they all were very surprised and didn't say anything at first, but after a moment they asked her how she got in there and then she explained what she wanted to do but she said it took them awhile to get over the fact that she was there at all.

eventually they got her sorted out and then she left and went back out to her car to leave and one guy came out and mentioned that she'd found a very good place to park. it was very strange, the entire parking lot was empty except for a few cars parked way out in the back corner.

she thinks that because of how she was dressed with the hat and scarf and all covered up that perhaps they thought she was going to rob them.

i dunno, but she said their whole demeanor was odd and stunned. i said that perhaps she came through the doors that goes to where the dead people are at and so nobody is supposed to come through that door ever... but no real idea.

perhaps they just hadn't had their coffee yet and weren't expecting anyone for a few hours yet either?

also, i'm definitely a chip off that block because i often tend to find myself in strange areas that others don't expect me (also when using or debugging programs - i manage quite often to do things that are not expected).
