I came to work with chicken poop in my hair yesterday. I didn't even notice until I brushed my hair back and it got on my hands. :sick

This cooking with goat berries ... is it like the old joke?

How many hillbillies does it take to make chocolate chip cookies?

Two. One to mix the batter and one to squeeze the rabbit!! (or is that goat??!) :ep

my kid ate goat poo

I died lol

Nicole is around everything barefoot also
she loves the chicken coops too

I give up
I try to "control" but it doesn't happen...life happens lol

go with the flow but always be careful of what harm an animal can do with its beak, claws, mouth, hooves etc etc those are the fastest to the emergency room problems lol
So what your saying is, it could be worse? They do look a little like brown peanut M&M's... :gig

But yeah, you are right, they gotta learn to respect the farm animals and not treat them like stuffed animals. I don't even bring her around the horse yet, because she gets excited and doesn't listen well.

I would think if the chickens were going to be offended by her carrying them around ( btw, I carry mine around all the time, and still no worms) they would have long since made it clear. IF she should get worm, lice , mite, fleas, whatever.. you will treat it. We live in a society that has means to deal with these things and preaches fear against them. Sure, be cautious.. she is a kid, but I would let her live and love and learn and as Tortoise said , lots of hand washing. Its a good time to get her in the habit and why. Just my humble opinion.

I grew up barefoot and around livestock, chickens included - so did my parents. If I ever got worms, it sure didn't bother me any.
