Wannabefree...guess what I got in the mail today!?!?!?!?

And we shall find our first disagreement with that statement...they're hideous birds :gigbut anything that tastes like beef is a friend of mine...well...until I kill it and eat it I guess...

LOL they look lovely to me, but then I never owned any! :p I'm a fan of runners, those things are so cute…

I've had runners too, adorable an prolific layers, just not much meat.

I won't be eating them though. DS would KILL me lol

Count me in the group that thinks Muscoveys are... uh...less than adorable! But if they taste good...who cares?! I will admit that I had one once - decades ago. He was a he and I didn't have a she for him - so he thought my hens were a good substitute. Call me old fashioned but I don't go for that cross-species stuff, LOL!!!! And, my hens didn't either!

I really wish I took a screenshot of that advert I saw for Muscovies on an online advertising site in South Africa. They were described as "Duck-like animals"

My husband thinks they're horrifically ugly but I think they're adorable! I've been told they're not ducks but I still call them ducks. I am so curious how they taste.... I had ducks but we never ate any because they're sooooo hard to pluck, and we're kinda lazy.

The Muscovies are really for the breast meat, not as oily as other duck meat, and similar to roast beef in flavor....from what I've been told...anxious to taste for myself...
