I second Deb's statement - what is meant to happen will. I KNOW that doesn't make any difference right now in the moment of the emotions, but I hope that you'll be able to work through these emotions of the moment and step forward again.

Thanks ya'll. I feel better that I got to talk to the kiddos, and I talked again with the foster mom. I've been on the phone with them for 2 hours now, and just got off They're sweet people the kids, and the mom. We discussed the same thing, that if it is meant to be, it will be. It's in God's hands. It is so hard to let go, but we all have to. I wonder what is best, I have all through this process, I guess it just bugs me the WAY it has all happened more than just simply being denied.

I appreciate all of you supporting us through this. On to the next step!

Oh, and grandma is doing okay..they still don't know anything. She has been SO stressed out over my step grandpa being in and out of the hospital there really is a good chance it could be multiple issues..heart attack, panic attack, just stress in general etc. etc. They're keeping her tonight and running tests. I guess we'll know more in the morning.

The kids had me watching a Spongebob episode with them It was kinda cool watching a show with them from another state The youngest gave me the play by play before it happened, so I had a narrator They're too cute! Their foster mom is sending me some recent school pictures

It will. And it is VERY frustrating to say the least. I hate liars now more than ever. :/ DH and DD are upset too, but we'll make it through this crapola. It just irks me that anyone can call and muck everything up with whatever they want to make up to say. i should have known a government agency would be lopsided but I NEVER thought it'd be THIS bad.

They should investigate! I don't know whether they are going to or not. I asked, and the lady said they weren't sending anyone else out She even said herself at the last homestudy that "someone had called and said..yadda yadda...but I've never seen anything like that." So SHE hasn't "seen anything like that" but they believe it enough to deny us?! :/ It's just all so stupid. If they'd just talk to DD14.....DD20 might have an ax to grind because we kept her from her boyfriend for months and got her under control(there's that "controlling" thing) but DD14 is mad about the whole denying us thing and has no issues with us. I still think it's my sister(who lost custody of her daughter last month and blames ME) or some of the family with a warped perception of how things go around here, that has called, and I highly HIGHLY doubt there are "multiple calls" like they are letting on. It's just dumb, and I don't know who would say such things, much less be so believable, because NOTHING. HAPPENS. We're pretty boring most of the time

Yes, I am self employed, but it's only supplemental. I don't make what would be considered a "full" income with it....yet. I think I'm going to start, and get a part time job too, at least until DH can find work.

DH is calling them Monday to start the appeals process. HE wants to talk to them this time himself and try to see what's going on. He has left all of it up to me until now.

ETA: They HAVE talked to DD20...meant to add that in there but was too busy ranting
