Is 40 degrees too cold for the goats to be outside during the day?
No, not at all. If they are old enough to be weaned and jump around as much as you say, they will do fine outside, even overnight. You could always put coats on them if you're worried, but I don't think you'll need them. Get them outside, and start teaching them some manners.

not sure how old they are they still have their dried up umbilical cords on and they are still on the bottles. but bob is a wild man- well goat. and he mouthes EVERYTHING!!! the girls are nibbling hay and goat feed but he just wants to chew up everything. if it is still warm tomarow and not raining i think i will take them outside to play.

yes, i have 2 catahoulas. but that is the color i wanted when i got them. mine are black and brindle. i hope to get a blue merle some day... they are pritty scarce here in iowa.
