Do home canned green beans taste better than store bought canned green beans?

My pole beans got nuthin'. My bush beans are on overdrive!!

Green beans -- depends on variety. Personally, I feel most are the same. It's the prep after that makes the difference.

I can say that I like the taste of the no salt commercially canned green beans much better than the regular salted ones.

to me always yes because i don't like the taste of metal. but i'll eat them anyways.

Tonight we had some of the Purple Dove green beans that I canned two years ago. Wish I had 21 more pints of 'em!

i wish i had someone here who could just go out and pick some from time to time so i could prep and eat them.

i get so tired out from weeding and watering that i hardly get out to pick what i enjoy the most (freshly cooked beans).

i picked some first thing this morning. i was fed up and needed to be fed up. that was a good plan... now i have them to prep, but that is easy enough and cooler in here.

tomatoes about to finish in a few minutes. picked this morning and canned this evening. tomorrow i have to figure out what to do with some peppers.

Peppers! I'm making sweet red pepper jelly later today -- need 3 jalapenos first -- and stuffing 25 or more for freezer fill. Plenty already diced/frozen, dehydrated. Need to make some pepper/onion relish, too -- need about 6 more greens for that.

Have 24 pie pumpkins to work up, too. Busy weekend!
