I lost money (many zeros) that I will never see again. It may rebound, but the interest that I am losing on the money that is gone - is gone forever.

I got out of stocks a little over a year ago. I moved into gold. It was a great move. Now I am looking for stocks to bottom out and I will move back into my dividend producers again. But it might be a while with what Trump is doing.

i just sorted through all the Purple Dove beans from last fall's harvest to get them ready for going into containers for longer term storage.

it's why i could retire early. i've taken way more out of it since then plus income from dividends so i have no complaints, but i'm also patient and old enough to know that if i was going to get out even more now is probably a bad time to do it (and instead i've been nibbling on some of my favorite stocks that are better priced now). it could be some time yet before we see growth again, but that is what a five year horizon helps with (every company i invest in i'm planning on holding for at least five more years - but that doesn't mean i'm perfect as i do have some losses for sure).
