WHAT ARE YOU CANNING TODAY?

Sorry I just have so much going on today with canning and garden, house, dh painting and all.

last week 23 qt of corn and carrots

13 half pints of light strawberry blueberry raspberry zucchini jam-done
1 pint peaches - done (all that was left from cobbler)
 
I am going to attempt pepper jelly. I am going to start a thread because I have some special requirements and I am not having good luck finding a recipe I want.
 
21 quarts of pickled beets! A whole bushel! My mom is here and taught me how. We had fun but we are totally beat!

Tomorrow we have to do her bushel. Ug.
 
I did my very first batch of preserves! Woot!
Granted, it was only 4 pints - but that was because I ended up having to buy figs since our tree just dumped all of its fruit before it ripened :barnie

Anyway... yay me for 4 pints of Strawberry Fig preserves!
 
Today I tried my first batch of Bar-b-q sauce and it turned out great so I did 7 qts of bar-b-qed beef and 7 pts of sauce. Then 8 jars of peach/pineapple jam mmmmmmmmmmmm tasty.
On craigslist I found a guy who has a 10 acre you pick farm, he has berries, apples, pears. peaches,and necturines(sp).

So I picked up some giant blueberries,we will be going back next saturday for more. Then when they are ripe I will get my pears and apples there too, so excited to find this place and the prices are great.

Now I just got to get more jars lol

congrats AL 4 pts is better than no pts, mmm strawberry fig, now that sounds too good.
