Got up @ 5:30
Walked and gabbed with a friend.
Made breakfast & packed lunches.
Drove DD to orchestra.
Walked with DS to school.
Mentally working on how I'm going to remove the near inch of accumulated tree needles from my driveway before it rains this weekend.

Planning to:
Actually remove said needles.
Harvest last of winter squash.
Do a half hearted cleaning of the chicken coop.
Figure out what to make for dinner.
Store up some energy for after school soccer and football practice shuffle.
Get kids to practice and make small talk with soccer and football moms
Come home to a glass of wine and probably a chili dog :)

*steps shyly into the SS confessional... :(*

Please forgive me fellow SS'ers..I have been very bad today!!

I completely strayed from my original list, and now, must pay the penance.

Yes, I did feed the animals, BUT....

I then went to town, originally to get dog food and the red hots for the apples, and it went downhill from there. Here's the report...

Went to Ben Franklin (craft store) and bought fabric for an apron, and 3 skirts, also bought super glue, and some flowers for my Grandmother/father - in- laws grave. Put said flowers out and 'chatted' for 10 min.

Went to the $ store in search of red hots...none...also looked for small pie tins..none...time wasted was 20 min.

Then went and purchased the dog food...5 min there

Went back across town to the grocery still in search of red hots...none...got some broth and maple flavoring...wasted 20 min there as well.

By then I was hungry, so I stopped at Subway...purchased a foot long with the full intention of bringing half of it home for supper...NOT...sat and ate the whole thing while reading the paper..ugh.

So now, other than laundry and maybe some cinnamon apples, my daily plans have been shot due to my 'spree' today...

I hereby apologize to the SS powers that be :he :barnie

If it makes you feel any better, my day hasn't gone as planned either ;)

I did manage to get dinner in the oven, pot roast.
First load of laundry is drying, second is done washing.
Goat pen is done.
Coop is done.

Hubby said water can wait until tomorrow.
Kids did 30 minutes of assignments. They went outside for "recess" and played freeze tag lol

Baby woke up wanting to eat, so while nursing him I decide to waste away online.

I went to work...I'm a hospice nurse right now, so this involves a lot of driving around the country.

All I could do was drive slow and gasp at every turn, as the fall colors up on the mountain beyond my house are so vivid they make you almost wreck! I can't say enough how much I love this time of year....it is simply breathtaking around here! I stopped up on top and breathed in the view down a huge valley called Germany Valley. The sweep of the land, the contours of the mountains and the shadows of the blue-bottomed clouds moving over the land was so beautiful that tears came to my eyes.

Today? Mostly I just thanked the good Lord that I had eyes to see and the good sense enough to look! :)

Then later I will put animals to bed, take a hot bath to rest my weary bones, and watch come TV, or if nothing is on, maybe more 'puter time, or read.
then put myself to bed. :)
