OK even I admit it... growing worms for fun is ...."over the edge" in weirdness. LOL... I am starting to grow HUGE tubs of red worms. (not wigglers) and find them facinating. (told you I was weird!) Sooooo,
We have chickens and I was thinking of dishing up worms for a treat, selling some to gardners, local fishing establishments, selling castings,
We have lots of manure and straw and left overs for feed.. I am looking for creative ways to make money.
With the cost of feed.. there seems to be no real money in eggs.. I am selling pullets (10-14 weeks old) for $15 each this spring.. there is a huge demand for chickens, but I do not want to pay $25 for a booth at farmers markets to sit all day and sell $30 worth of eggs!
So any ideas? We raise our own beef (longhorn) chickens, a few goats to eat brush... what can I do to make money with WORMS?
All advice appreciated... thanks
