made good progress on weeding and cleaning up the North Garden this morning. :) hope i can get it done before the weekend but not sure. we'll see. :) will have to water tomorrow morning. we did get some rain the other day but it wasn't really enough to last a few days. so.......

in yesterday's forecast for the next week there were two different chances of rain. those evaporated from the forecast when i checked today. it's being a very dry summer so far. strawberries are burning up, lawn/grass is going dormant. i'm only watering in the mornings now to help deter deer traffic/interest.

It's finally dry enough to walk most of the rows without sinking. Ofcourse weeds have kicked into high gear. I need to weed but I don't do well in excessive heat warnings.

Row of potatoes that my favorite daughter in law planted for me.

And a row of sweet potatoes she also planted for me.

No flowers from the potatoes yet. I guess that means they got more growing to do.

Howdy! Nice potatoe plants there. @flowerbug green onions seeds? Never tought of that. I will get them ASAP. Do I put them on the heat mat first?

Wateres some and of cpourse, delivery guys came and long story. WEnt back around 8pm and watered some but tomorrow need to take my cell with me. I think I saw 2 plants with a tomatoe, lol And weeds are all grown again. I thinkI will have to go to the feed store and get a few squares of straw to put down.It never stops growing, lol

So far the few people I gave some of teh leave lettuce, they said it was so fresh and crispy. God is good.

Just a FYI...

Rural King carries both potting and top soil for $1.99 per cuft. 1.99 is dirt cheap compared to other bagged soil.

I've used the potting soil and I like it. Haven't tried the top soil yet. But plan to do and a 50/50 mix for potting up fruit tree seedlings.

What each is derived from is listed on the bottom face of the bag.

That's a very good deal at that price
Yep... But you gotta ask for it, the cashier open a book and scans the code. Don't know if the codes are the same across RKs or not but here's the yard tags, with sku number bottom right corner.
