Finished the tomatoes and also the peppers. Also did about 10 yellow onions and a few more potatoes.

Then put straw between everything.

All my home starts are just sitting in the garden where I transplanted them. Its too cold at night and not warm enuf during the day to warm up the soil. We are going to be about 90 for a day or two, but not long enuf to get those darn plants growing up.
That stinks!

Been chilly here too... planted the tomatoes nearly 2 weeks ago, and they just started to look like something after we had the rain on Memorial Day... nights were in the low 60's and days nice in upper 70-low 80's... and it took another nose dive and has been in the mid 50's and days 75-85... today only hit 64 and a cool trend for this week. We are dry and cooler than the past few years and the plants are just sitting there. The potatoes have started to come through .... I planted them over a 10 day period due to my time constraints... the first row is coming along, sprouting in subsequent rows... Tomatoes just "look cold" in their spots. I actually feel sorry for them.
Just planted some wax and purple beans so not even up yet... good because I am hoping to get the garden fence up in the next day or 2. They don't bother the potatoes or even the tomatoes much but they destroy the green beans and the sunflowers and some other stuff.
