Nothing much her but fighting with the rain again. It was like a game for the sky. Ducks loved being rained on. Chicks will stay in run, get a dirt bath and come out. Getting wet after a dirt bath is not pleasing to the eyes, especially from my twisted sisters that are leghorns, lol

So, I helped hub a bit putting some dirt for the ducks muddy feeding area and then realized that I am late for crocheting. Began my beanie ministry at last. Let's see I can make before the first snow. Need them to be at shelters in time.

Last night spoke briefly to my sister in PR. She got electricity finally yesterday after 9 days without power. She lost everything on the fridge and worries me because she is diabetic. My brother still has no power but he is ok, like every Puertorican when asked. The texted with my sister in Tampa. My younger brother is with her helping and riding it out. They lost power by noon but it made landfall around 3pm south of them. So far, they are getting the rain and winds. The tre in front of the house did not make it.

Then texted with my ex-first Sargent and he is ok. Now the eye is going to hit Orlando where my in-laws live. Hub will not be able to go since he is a plane person. Not me, I am a road warrior, lol
So, up early to check where this eye is.

On another note, they said last night will be the first frost. So, picked the tomatoes I could and the peppers. They still have a few small ones and many flowers. Darn peppers!
I cut all of the herbs but left a lot of oregano because it was a lot and had ran out of space to collect and to place to dry a bit after washing. The garage smells heavenly, lol

Do any of you can peppers? Have an USDA canning book and dear heaven, I think I just freeze the peppers. So much work. Roast them. Peel them, blanch them to the pressure can at 12lbs. I think I will freeze those bad boys, lol

i cut them up, clean out the seeds, roast and then pack into pint jars to freeze. others use freezer bags. i don't peel them, a little bit of extra chew doesn't hurt me. :)
