Neighbor hollered at me said we had a little spill, you want a little corn? Sure I'll take some corn. I thought I heard him say bring a shovel and a few buckets, but he said barrels. So I go out to the field with my shovel and two buckets. Looked and said Ha turned around and got a pallet and cut the lid off two barrels and grabbed some 50 lb feed bags. Filled two barrels and two feed sacks. Left a little for the deer and canadian chickens. So I guess I did something in the garden today, just a really big garden.

On another note, they said last night will be the first frost. So, picked the tomatoes I could and the peppers. They still have a few small ones and many flowers. Darn peppers!
I am currently near you. Up until yesterday I was working in Holland. I put my "road" tomatoes inside the camper last week. Later today or tomorrow I will put them in the bath tub while I drive home. Oddly they are full of tomatoes and I didn't have 1 not 1 grow from the heat while I was home for 6 weeks. (I could've should've watered DAILY then)

I always freeze them in bags but learn a very valulesson. First time. Took them out and left them thaw. Bad juju! They turned to a very disgusting mush, lol Now just pull out and use.
Great score there @CrealCritter. Jealous!
Didn't do any garden stuff but began covering with plastic the quackers run.

Also fixed their dinner set,lol it was muddy and plainly a mess. Built some pallets as their table with a slope towards the outside and put a 4x5x1 rubber mat as tablecloth, lol is holding just fine now.

found dead critter and buried it, caulked, weeded - it was a really nice day out. :) hope the next week's forecast holds as it looks much the same and i can use every day of it.

it is a little foggy/misty/wispy out there right now but that will burn off and i can get out for round 2 of caulking and then go back to weeding once i get too tired of that. what i caulked yesterday i hope will help with the black/carpenter ants always trying to take up residence in the garden shed wall and along that side.

eventually i have to get up on a ladder and see if i can get some gunk stripped off some wood so we can stain it again. it looks bad enough i probably should replace it but that would probably best be done by someone else who knows what they're doing...

I like them frozen. So just cleaned, sliced, and bagged. Easy to dice if needed when frozen.
My wife washes them off, cuts any bad spots off, then the tops off in a circle, pops the seed cavity out. Taps out any remaining seeds, then slices or dices, bags them and freezes them.

I cleaned out our veggie freezer totally this year, after I seen the garden was going to do well. It's almost full again.

What should I do with this PR pumpkin- winter butterscotch squash? It is in the kitchen window and have no clue whether to put it in the garden or let it die. It has one leaf besides the two first one. I even forgot about her,lol Advise
