I did place a cheap little feeder for the hummingbirds in the garden yesterday, just to see if I am thinking correctly. Wife spotted one little hummingbird using it this morning....happy happy

i had a hummingbird come along yesterday and pick some of the gnats off the window - that's the first time i've ever seen one do that. :)

3. work with the new chicks - I let them loose for the first time yesterday, it went well. Big dog Tony LOVES his chickens

I AM OUT OF ORDER

I did let the chicks have free time from 8-9am and then again from 10:30 -noon
Then I got the lower 2 acres weed eated and mowed
Which took until 3, then went to watch my 6yr old GS's ball game

I have some I need to plant....garden, pots, whatever! Garden still not tilled, up & working. I'm a month late!! Thankfully, my growing season is long. Actually some things liking warm wouldn't be getting planted until now.

it has been so cool here that i won't be rushing to plant anything.

today i need to get some space cleared to get the onions planted (tomorrow i hope).

before i do that i need to get the live trap set up to see if i can capture the groundhog that keeps digging into the same area. might be hopeless, but i'll give it a chance.
