love that color and those patterns. :) hope they taste great!
Purple Viking are a white fleshed potato that are not waxy and work great for fried, mashed, baked taters.

They can be a little disappointing as French fries since they don't brown as well but still taste really good.

Ordered some heirloom seeds from an Ohio company. Some Aleppo peppers, golden beets, and watermelon radish.

Was visiting my youngest a few weeks ago, having lunch. Place had a hummus dish with the usual pita, celerey, etc. Included was the radish, which was almost sweet. Had to ask the restaurant.

Planning next year already

With our mini drought going on, I have got back to watering what little garden I have on a regular basis. The sunchokes are loving it, half of them are over 6ft tall now.

Fingers crossed on the red beets I planted a few weeks ago. About 2 inches high, really would like to enjoy some.

I had to go through the contents of the seed box and put it up. I do not need more seeds....I do not need more seeds. Oh boy

Do not need seeds here either !!! 😳😳🙄🥴😵‍💫

I'm afraid to get a catalog -- unfair temptations!

Hope those beets do well. I love beets, especially pickled. :drool No garden this yr is gonna make for a very long winter wait. BUT I am planting garlic next month once it cools off some.
I am literally the only person in the immediate family that loves beets. I love making pickled eggs with them, too

i was also emptying old seeds out yesterday. i had a lot of beans from the 2017-2018 growing season and nobody ever wanted them at all the seed swaps. some of them would still grow, i just don't have that much room here for all those containers with just a few seeds in them. i also had a lot of yogurt quart containers with squash seeds in them (which would be edible in an emergency) - i did eat the green seeds. still good.

i'm not sure what will work as bird food but i'll put it out and let them figure it out. :)
