What did you do to save $ today?

OH...duh! Forgot, I gathered up all my Free products coupons and all the ones I will use tomorrow, about $75 worth, to go grocery shopping in the morning :D

Hubby came home, and put my clothes line (umbrella type) back up. And, he put new line on it. So, that means I'll be able to finally hang up clothes w/out ducking around a couple of trees!

And, I put 26 eggs in my incubator! Don't know how many, if any will hatch. But if they do, any chicks I don't want/need will be sold.

We got a letter today that we are being offered a satellite/internet/phone package that is much better and includes more phone features and 120 channels instead of the 10 we currently get, and SAVES us 20 dollars a month! :weee

I wonder if folks are cancelling service, because they just kind of threw the extra features and drop in price at us, but we'll take it!

AT&T? wish i could get that :/ It'd save me $50 a month! But the service doesn't extend out this far :( it stops down at the neighbors house  :rant

I went to drop off donations at a thrift store. The lady behind me was about to set down a little white wire shoe rack. Identical to the one I have at home. And last week I had been thinking I wanted another one but couldn't justify the expense.

:weee

Can't wait to sort out my shoes and clothes on the racks. After sun goes down - its perfect weather for yardwork!

I don't know if I shuld call it "saving", since I actually spent money. I went to the Goodwill Outlet this morning, hoping to find a stroller. I did find a little swinging baby seat and a Fisher Price portacrib. I also got 3 platic jars with sealable lids and a box with wooden blocks, a little box with drawers and a small plastic bucket, all for $10.
I don't like using plastic for food storage, but I do need something to keep the bugs out of my food. Since we live in earthquake coutry, I prefer to store the stuff on high selves in lightwight and less breakable materials

I assemmbled the portacrib. It turns out that a slot that is supposed to accomodate the upper rails has been sewn shut at the manufacturers. I am going to get my seam ripper out and fix that. I doubt this crib was ever used. And it came with 2 fitted sheets. I plan on giving it to DD, so she can either keep it in their car or give it to a friend who needs one. Oh and I know she'lll reimburse me for it too.

The little box with draers will be great for storing some of my sewing notions.

I also cleaned and repaired a pair of running shoes, that I had been wearing in the yard. They look nice enough to wear in public again.

I saved money for someone else today by cleaning out my son's toy closet. DH is on his way to Good Will with 2 complete train sets, a grocery bag full of leggo's and another one full of lincoln logs. Also a box full of toy cars, trucks and farm machines, and another with assorted toys. The house feels so much lighter!

Now - on to his clothes closet and dresser!!

Orrrr... maybe tomorrow. I think I'll go get a cup of coffee.

Went to 4 grocery stores and shopped sales with coupons ONLY!

And I STILL got sticker shock :hu
