What did you do to save $ today?

You're very welcome me&thegals :) I just made 5 gallons of laundry soap. And as a bonus DD is fussing at me, because it won't be ready to use until tomorrow :P

Makin' fruit leather! From leftover ripe fruit! Plotting out other cost effective good for you snack cakes!

I made two reusable grocery bags out of old t-shirts. That saves money because I get 5 cents off my grocery bill for every reusable bag I use to bag my groceries!

Two things that are "new". One is homemade dishwasher machine liquid. $0.01/load as compared to $0.14/load of the bulk store stuff. Second, I'm building cages. $50 to build my three pen unit, vs $110 if purchased from tractor supply. I suppose hatching my own chicks could count too. $0.20 per egg, hatch rate even at 50% would make a chick cost me $1, vs $1.99 each from TSC.

I traded three unwanted Silkies for a big Tom turkey :D I DEFINATELY got the better end of THAT deal I think ;)

Got $60 worth of groceries for $20.50, and save $0.10 a gallon on gas by using the shoppers club card... Pretty much a weeks worth of groceries :)

Slaughtered two rabbits and turned them into:

3 pints of meat
6 Quarts and 3 pints of Rabbit Stock
