I have a lot of stuff in our pantry. I have three different setups for all of our preps.

The weirdest is home-canned celery, and liquor.
As in chuttney?

I've got a shelves of different types of teas, looseleaf and bagged.
Another shelf or 2 for dried beans.
One shelf has all types of rice, quinoa, chia seeds, oats.
Shelf for variety of nuts and another for a variety of dried fruit.

Chia seed 5 lbs. and now I need to find other uses for it besides cookies.

Ever try sprouting it? I hear it's great that way.

I put a tablespoon of chia seeds in my oatmeal or my smoothie every morning.

No, as plain celery diced and canned. We have a little bit of liquor but not near enough.

Interesting idea, BB. And how are the results? Obviously the crunch is gone, but how is it otherwise? Have you used the canned celery, and if so, how? I often have part of a head of celery left over, and am interested in another way (other than drying) for saving it.

The crunch is gone; however, the taste is there. We use it in quick homemade chicken noodle soup, chicken casserole, or anything that would require celery. It is handy for sure. I can it in half pint jars.

I may have to try that. I've been dehydrating or freezing mine.

I don't think I have anything strange. We eat very normal stuff. Maybe my sauerkraut stomper?

One thing I do find though, the more I can and store downstairs the less I have and use from my kitchen pantry. Maybe it's time to clean out all the upstairs stuff. I don't seem to be using much of it.
