I'll be building a compost bin this weekend. What's everyone else doing?

Well, you know how the earth can get. Cranky thing!!!

I am planting strawberries. Maybe that will help the planet chill out a bit.

Cleaning up my patch of earth of goat poop and hay, and then giving back to my patch of earth with composted goat poop and hay.

Oh, wait, I do that every day.....

Seriously, every day is Earth Day in my household.

Tomorrow we will be sacrificing some inch and a half thick ribeye steaks to Gaia, on the Weber alter (death to those methane producing bovine!). My son is up from NOLA, and he brought me a case of Dixie Voodoo Dark to add to the festivities.

Other than that, just the same old, same old.

Heading to a birthday party at a horse farm. The birthday girl is getting a DONKEY from her parents!! How cool is THAT? We were asked to bring art supplies as gifts, under $5 only. We bought a cute little clay animal kit and wrapped it in a bag I made from left over quilting fabric. The sun is shining and it's a beautiful day!
Cleaned the rabbit cage and the chick brooder and threw it all into the compost pile. Will help DH build and position several raised garden beds from left over wood from the barn later after the party.
Hoping to go out to dinner tonight with DH. IF my parents can watch DS before the 7pm church service. We'll have to eat early but we haven't had dinner out, just the two of us in a while.
