Sounds like my niece. When her mom died last year, she elected to wait for her grandfather to come and pick her up and take her to the hospital rather than going w/my brother. The state cops were there and pulled my brother to the side to ask him how old she was. She was 17 at the time, but looked about 10 since she's so tiny.

My eldest got her liscening on schedule. She was SOOOOOOOO much calmer than my younger child. DD15 will grow into it. I WISH she could now! It'd sure be nice to have help with the errands!!!

Isn't it a great country where we still have at least a little local control over our children's lives and be able to make decisions that are best for your situation?

I know people in their 30's that have no business with their licenses and trust some 15 year olds more than them.

My eldest could have taken (and passed, in my opinion) her test on her 16th birthday. She was one who waited over a year. Now she wonders why she waited. :)

I am blessed with some good kids, and I'm okay with letting the leash out. YMMV
