So hubby put the black salve on his boil last night and he woke up a few minutes ago with it draining . So, yes, PRID brand black salve works as advertised. Good thing I warned him to wrap it in gauze well before he went to sleep!

Of course now I am wide awake and he is rebandaged and snoring

In other news the only bites I had on my bird ads were people I have done business with before and I knew would not want the particular birds I had for sale . I will have to re-llist them. If that doesn't work, killing cone time.

Where do you buy this black salve and what is it? I've heard of drawing salves before, but never used one.

Edit- Whoah! Inadvertently inappropriate typo. LOL.

It was a drawing salve. There is a difference between black drawing salve and black salve. PRID was the brand they had in stock at the local Walmart. The active ingredient you need to look for is icthammol. 10-20% is what you want.

As for the typo....LOL. I had to keep an eye on the stupid autocorrect so I understand!
