It was a drawing salve. There is a difference between black drawing salve and black salve. PRID was the brand they had in stock at the local Walmart. The active ingredient you need to look for is icthammol. 10-20% is what you want.

The Amish bulk store near us carries that, although not PRID branded. I saw it there just last week and wondered..."what would I use *that* for?" Thanks for the information!

To those scratching their heads, hubby thought exercise was a great antidote for boils. Ummmmm....yeah. Right.

While I am pro exercise, a boil on your inner thigh isn't going to be helped by you practicing your taekwan do DUMBASS!

His instincts when it comes to health related issues are so off, I am surprised he lived through childhood!

You have strong survival instincts and tend to research things you don't understand. My husband tends to take 2 totally unrelated things and tries attribute cause and effect to them and act accordingly.

Hubby comes from a big family. They could have lost track of one

To continue our recent injury-polooza, I stepped out of the car a few minutes ago and jabbed my foot on to the one branch we missed chopping up when we trimmed the maples. now I have some small chunks missing out of the top of my foot. And I have to mop because I bled all over the kitchen.

We will sure have a well stocked med kit after this week. Hopefully we can finish out the week with all of our vital organs attached.
