I googled it and also found an article about the TSA security exercise being run around these parts - WNIR 100.1 FM reported pairs of fighters patrolling the airspace around Akron/Canton airport

I don't know what it is really intended to do, but it doesn't sound too bad so far. It may be the nose of the camel under the tent flap, but economic development around here wouldn't be a bad thing. Money for cell phone coverage would be a nice thing, and high speed internet, and maybe money for roads and bridges that are falling down. Who knows, it may be an attempt to even out the odds of low population rural areas to get federal money even though there aren't a lot of us in one spot to get votes like cities.
