    Homemade Yogurt Tubes with Foodsaver

    1. Cut strips about 3" wide from a foodsaver roll. 2. Seal both long sides 3. Snip off one end of the tube. 4. Fill with yogurt (I put the yogurt in a baggie and snipped a corner to fill). 5. Clean around the opening and seal.

    Oxygen Absorber Question

I have some oxygen absorbers that I sealed in a canning jar about a year ago. My problem is I cannot tell (or remember) what cc rating they have. The packets say OxyFree504 and are blue and green with a hexagon pattern. Would packets with different cc-ratings be different dimensions? These...

Does lamp oil degrade over time?

I found a couple of bottles stashed in a cabinet - probably 5 years old. Is it still good? We only use the lamps in emergencies, so it might sit there another 5 years. I know some fuels can't be kept that long, so not sure. :idunno

    Dandelions

Has anyone tried to preserve them -maybe freezing or drying- to feed to chickens in the winter? If so, how did it turn out? My chicks love them and it seems a waste to let all that free food go.

    Looking for an apple tree

I have a Lodi, which ripens the first week of August. It's a soft apple, good for sauce. I also have a Harlson and a Winesap, which don't ripen until November. I'd like to plant another apple tree that would ripen sometime in September-October to fill in the gap. Does anyone know of a...
