ME, too! I work in some different "dollar type" stores and they began with Xmas "stuff" before Halloween! By Thanksgiving I was done with it........

Years & years back, one holiday was over before much of the next began appearing. That's my preference.

And the awful Christmas songs on the radio in each shop… Some of the songs are nice, but some makes me want to shoot the radio! I also prefer a much longer break between much shorter holiday prep seasons. Our nearest Dealz store had Xmas stuff side by side with Halloween stuff this year.

Oh my word I am so tired. Was up around 4, woke DH up so he could leave at 5:30, couldn't fall back asleep. Then had to feed animals, run to 2 banks, bring DD to class, run to the video store, the dollar store, to my mom's to drop DD off, then to a doctors appt (where I waited, impatiently, for 45 minutes!!), then the grocery store, then went to order a wood pellet delivery from the place we get them from. Then picked DD up, came home and did chores in 5 degree weather by myself.

I win. Today will end soon, I can't wait!

Pregnant and sick! My throat hurts pretty badly today. Woke up to - 8 degree weather, unfortunately DH is still at work but fortunately he'll be home tonight. And he is hoping to be home for the next several days. We need to get the pig to the butcher, get our Jeep fixed, and set up the crib. (still working on finding a new vehicle but in the meantime I kinda need power steering! And we'll keep the Jeep for him while I get the new car!)

I saw one of the doctors yesterday who said she thinks I'll make it to next week (the cutoff for when I get to deliver at this hospital) but that I certainly won't have to worry about being overdue. So I expect to go early, maybe even in the next 2 weeks (hard to tell, obviously). My blood pressure was high for me, but still in the OK range, so we're watching that. Almost there...

It's getting close now! I can't wait to see the little one and I'll bet you are too :hugs I hope your sore throat is going to turn into something more. Best dose it with something now and rest, rest, rest, as much as you can now. I hope your DH will be able to stay home for a good few days now, you need him around especially with the little one's birth so close and you not feeling well. Mind yourself over there you.

It's just a cold. Mildly stuffy nose, DD is getting over it now. She hardly got sick, it wasn't a terrible cold thank goodness.

The good part is DD got so many new toys she can entertain herself for a while! Lol!

I am going to take the tree down today, and un-Christmas a little.

My Dorking hen is doing the hide in the corner, don't eat don't drink thing. I gave them super warm water, plenty of grain and no one else is acting poorly. I think the hatchery Dorkings are not up for NH winters. Don't think badly of me, but I am not bringing her in the house to try to warm her up. I can't breed chickens that can't handle our weather. I put the water dish and some grain where she can reach it, she's in a sunny spot and let's hope she can snap out of it. Otherwise we'll just be breeding Dominiques and Cornishes, all of whom currently look perfectly content (and feisty, for the Cornish roo!) despite the cold.
