I also want flower beds. We'll be here 3 years in February and I brought some flowers with me, they are barely surviving. it has to be bad when I can kill bulb flowers. LOL

We had so much infrastructure to build and so much to do that flowers got pushed to the wayside. I really want flowers.

You are doing so well, just don't over so it. It sucks about the meat that got spoiled. You had the right idea, but your baby had other ideas. LOL

Eh I'm not doing that much! I do need to go shopping this weekend but I'm making DH take us. Mostly because we need chicken feed but also because I have baby brain lol!

Did I mention how awesome it is to not have to do finger sticks anymore???

I am anxiously awaiting my Baker Creek catalog still. I ordered all my normal stuff from Fedco, but might get some fun stuff, maybe flowers, from them!

Last year I planted some sunflowers, just sort of in different places around the fence line and such.

The lovely bulbs that were planted around the house died, but that's because I cannot be bothered to dig up bulbs every fall; that level of work is only for the veggy garden.:)
I planted some foxglove in what may one day be the "fairy garden", and planted lavender around the house. I prefer perennial flowers for sure.

We have lost a lot of our snow today, roads are flooding.... It's nasty. Going to turn to ice tonight and then snow tomorrow. We are going to have major ice problems!

Also that means DH is going to have to make a lot more snow to replace what's melted today. Bummer, they were going to have an early end to the season.

In the same boat , guess you'll get hit a tiny bit later then me? Supposed to be turning to freezing rain within the hour actually. I'm worried about my DH drive home tonight. Going to be a skating rink out there.
Oh and my sister had the baby. Preterm (I think 35) and had to be tranfered to neonatal at another hospital.

DH is supposed to make snow tomorrow but with the ice.... The road he takes to get there is majorly sketchy so he might not be going in. Plus he might not get out of our skating rink of a driveway lol!
