Home made Venison & Potatoe Pirogies!!
A lot of work but boy are they worth it!!!!!
And we use the left over potato meat insides to make a Casserole the next night, just add Peas and Corn and sprinkle more cheese on top!

Man and here I am eating homemade canned chicken soup and salterns.

We had cod, clams, broccoli and butternut squash. I cooked some chicken thighs for lunch next week while the oven was hot. Stupid camera is full of pics...need to delete some before I can take more.

Dolphin? What? Is that even legal? Lol

Those stuffed peppers.... oh man.... almost deer season here, yum!!
 oh man you should have seen the arguments of people that would go to the keys and see "Dolphin" on the menu, they would yell at the people and tell them they are horrible for killing flipper. o_O (for those who dont know, Dolphin is Mahi-Mahi. Its a fish)

I don't think I've ever had conch... might have to put that on my list!
If you do(i highly recommend you do) make sure you are somewhere, where you can get them fresh. As amazing as they taste, a bad one can kill it for you. Just like pastacio nuts. :sick

FYI... A friend of mine (since died) in North Carolina was a big fisher with a nice deep sea boat he used to fish the gulf steam frrquently and north atlanic deep water less frequently. He gave me Mahi-Mahi and other fish quite often. He used to freeze fish fillets in water in gallon sized baggies to avoid freezer burn. Even frozen after thowed and cooked was just as delicious as fresh. Freezing covered in water really worked great with fish. Me I get freaking sea sick so I barely ever went fishing with him, but it most definitely wasn't because I didn't want too.

Oh i totally agree on the freezing, was went more to dont buy canned or some store bought conch. And alot of restaurants try to pass other types of meats as conch. And for the first time definitely try fresh, so worth it.
For sure freezing works great, and yes in water is the best way if not the seeling bags. Most charters will package them that way to keep them "fresher" for the client.

Haha totally understand. And used to it. If you are not from an island or have friends or experience of the situation i could totally see how that could come off.
But sadly, there are places out there that eat Flipper the dolphin. Atleast in my eyes it is sad. But i guess in their countrys its like us taking normal fish :hustill sad.
