@JanetMarie ... if I can be nosy, can you tell me what else you are using/trying??? Have used in the past???? For what types of aches/pains?
I have such pain in the knees, and I am going to have both replaced in the end of October because I have gone every other route I could find and research. I've done prolotherapy, PRP stem cell, the "synvisc" hyaluronic acid injections, Physical therapy, exercises from the orthopedic doctors, finally tried the cortisone knowing that replacement was going to have to be done.... NOTHING ..... helps. I have also tried every "drug" from tylenol, ibuprophen, aspirin, to meloxicam, tramodol, hydrocodone.... vitamin therapies from a wholistic doctor.....
I am trying to find something that will make it more bearable for the next 6 months.
I had my ankle replaced Feb 6, 2020. I could not walk on it without hurting. It was the best thing I ever did.... and with the whole covid lockdown mess... I was held back from PT for an extra month... but the results have been amazing...and the PT says he belives I will even get a little more use once I get the knees done and can walk more normally. The ankle was the worst so I did it first, the right knee was bad but now the left knee is nearly as bad from trying to "take the strain" off the right. I will be having a newer type procedure called the Mako procedure.... both done at the same time. That is the recommendation from both the PT's I have seen over the last year....and the one PT's mom had both hers done this past Sept and she got along real good and he said that I ought to do as good or better than his mom because I am more active and more determined to get back to normal....
Because of our farming operation, I really cannot leave my son with no one to help with all the hay making. I can sit on a tractor and do the tedding and raking of the hay. I have been doing that for years as I can do it during the day while he is at work, have fields ready for him to go into the field to bale in the afternoons after he gets off work.
But it would be nice if there was a way I could get some relief from the feeling like there is a sharp knife slicing into the knee when I move it certain ways, it is like a white hot zap and then sometimes it is just like a nerve is getting pinched between 2 hard bones and a real sudden intense shooting pain. But it still aches all the time anyway.
Thanks.
